Course Introduction: Abundant Systems For Creators

I'm glad you decided to give this course a shot. Before we get started with the content tomorrow, I wanted to share a little bit about my vision and how you can use this course.

My goal isn't to overwhelm you with information. I'm really good at doing that, because I love to go really deep. This course is not that.

If you want that type of information, you can ​check out my Substack​. That's where I'll include some deep dives into tools I'm building, how I'm helping the creators whose content I enjoy, and the concepts I'm exploring while writing "Engineering Generosity: Why we need to build abundant systems in the age of AI". So, instead, for each of the 5 days, I'll introduce a concept, give you a little bit about it, and then give you an exercise to try. For each exercise, there will be a link to a form that you can fill out if you want to share your answers. If you do decide to share your answers, once you finish the course, I'll review your answers and give you recommendations based on my experience and thoughts. But you have no obligation to provide them to me. This is just something I want to offer in case it might help you.

As a creator, software engineer, and long-time internet citizen, I've gotten sick of having to dance to the beat of large tech companies. I don't want to conform to the algorithm. I want to create the things that I want to create.

It's time to go to war against big tech and regain the power in our creativity. I'm going to give you the tools to do so.
